intangible issues

the way US said: taliban is not our enemy, our enemy is Al-qaeda same way in my personal opinion the real issue with tesla is not range ( how many miles can we go with one charge) its the time it takes to recharge & the battery ownership

now why I am saying this: with Tesla the marriage between Computer & Automobile engineering is obvious to customer.

iPhoneTesla
1. no-one can sell me iPhone2, resale value is close to zero1. the more inventions happen in battery technologies in coming year, the re-sale value of Tesla will drop drastically
2. new iPhone/iPad cannibalize sales of old iPhone2. newer models from Tesla will cannibalize older models, people will say, let me just wait for that next model
3. every year new iPhone launches my old iPhone looks like a stone age device ( try to flaunt your iPhone 2 if you have :-) 3. every year when there will be innovations in battery, touchscreens, aesthetics my tesla car will look like some stone age vehicle ( not literally)
4. if i am apple fan boy, i would really like to keep myself updated with the latest models, normal people can afford it4. i admit, i am Tesla fan boy, but i doubt it will be feasible to upgrade cars by people every 3-4 years
5. iPhone was $600 when it came, then they did partnership with AT&T and the price dropped to $200 for latest models & $50 for old models5. once i buy Tesla, i am stuck with it, i mean stuck with the battery, car owner should be freed up from battery ownership, would love to see some kind of strategic ownership that tesla builds which will reduce the cost of car and also will free car owner from battery ownership
6. i can charge my iphone while i am driving, no special efforts/delay incur. believe me major problem with iphone is so many times i see that red batter sign of 10% & 20%6. i cannot charge my car while i am driving
7. if my phone's battery dies, i am not stuck anywhere7. but if my car's battery dies, i believe i will be stuck :-)
8. charging of iPhone is done with no hurry8. super chargers will kill the battery life

i firmly believe Elon & his team will find solutions on:

1. reducing the time it takes to charge the vehicle, coz once thats reduced to less than a minute, who cars about range?
owner drives into the battery swap station, battery gets swapped in 30 seconds and owner is out on road
2. aesthetics: the car from inside is very dull, only the iPad kinda screen they got is pretty awesome, rest all needs to be
revamped
3. doing some strategic partnership with battery makers/batter lease companies, which can separate battery ownership with car
ownership
